Lisa Snyder, 41, was found guilty of the following on Tuesday, Sept. 24; 2 counts of First-Degree Murder, 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children, and Tampering with Evidence, the Berks County DA explained in the release. The charges stem from an investigation into the Sept. 2019 death of her 8-year-old son, 4-year-old daughter, and the family dog.

She was sentenced to two consecutive sentences of life in prison without parole, followed by 8.5-17 years in prison on the remaining charges, DA Adams explained.

Conner and Brinley Snyder were found hanging from a dog lead tied to a beam in the basement of the family's home on Route 143 near Kempton on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, according to the DA who noted that Lisa only purchased the lead the day before and picked it up that morning.

The children were resuscitated by EMS and taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where they were placed on left support, but ultimately died three days later, the DA explained.

The DA also called out bizarre search history from a phone she claimed was lost but was still connected to her vehicle on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.

"In the days leading up to the murders that she searched for multiple methods of killing someone, including carbon monoxide poisoning and how to hang yourself. The defendant visited a website that gave instructions on how to hang oneself."

Lisa elected to have a Bench Trial which began on Monday, Sept.16, 2024.  The investigation was led by PA State Police Troopers Ian Keck and Daniel Womer. The case was tried by ADAs Meg McCallum and Ken Brown.
